Abstract:Subarachnoid hemorrhage(SAH)is associated with high rates of mortality and disability, the vast majority of survivors suffered from severe cognitive impairments affecting multiple key domains such as language, memory, executive function, and processing speed.Research suggested that post-SAH cognitive impairment was closely related to factors such as early brain injury and delayed cerebral ischemia, yet its specific pathophysiological mechanisms remain incompletely understood. This article reviewed the pathophysiology, risk factors, assessment, and treatment of cognitive impairment following SAH,aiming to provide insights for clinical research and practice.
