Abstract:Cardiorespiratory fitness(CRF)serves as a pivotal indicator of cardiopulmonary functional reserve.Accumulating evidence substantiates a strong association between impaired CRF and the incidence, progression, and clinical outcomes of stroke.Consequently, enhancing CRF represents a critical component of stroke rehabilitation. This review summarized the alterations in CRF observed across different stages of the disease and outlines the various available assessment methods.Furthermore, the article discussed rehabilitative strategies aimed at improving CRF.The overarching aim of this article is to enhance clinical awareness regarding the significance of CRF in both stroke prevention and treatment strategy optimization.
