Abstract:Stroke has become the leading cause of death and disability among adults in China. The recovery of motor function is crucial for the daily activities of stroke patients.Although traditional rehabilitation methods(e.g.,physical therapy, functional electrical stimulation)show certain effectiveness, their potential for restoring motor function in patients with severe hemiplegia remains limited. In recent years,brain-computer interface(BCI)technology,by establishing a direct communication pathway between the brain and external devices, offers patients the possibility of active participation in rehabilitation training and demonstrates significant potential for clinical application. This article discusses the application value and technical challeng-es of BCI in the treatment of hemiplegia following stroke.
