Abstract:Rupture of intracranial aneurysms is one of the leading causes of subarachnoid hemorrhage, with a relative-ly high incidence and mortality rate.Although there is a clinical consensus on the treatment of ruptured intracranial aneurysms, the optimal management strategy for unruptured intracranial aneurysms still requires comprehensive consideration of multiple factors. In this context, studying the pathogenesis of intracranial aneurysms and identifying noninvasive therapeutic targets are of significant importance. As direct human experiments are not feasible, the establishment of induced animal models provides a crucial approach for gaining indepth insights into the mechanisms underlying the formation, progression, and rupture of intracra-nial aneurysms. This article reviews the current research status of production methods for intracranial aneurysm models, aiming to provide references for future model development.
