Abstract:Early microcirculatory disturbances after subarachnoid hemorrhage(SAH)are intricately associated with delayed brain injury and patients'outcomes. Thus, the early detection and management of intracranial ischemia and hypoxia resulting from microcirculatory impairments hold great significance in enhancing the prognosis of SAH patients.Near infrared spectroscopy(NIRS)currently has a certain potential in the monitoring of intracranial microcirculation disorders in SAH patients. This paper aims to comprehensively review the principles, mechanisms, and clinical values of the current applications of NIRS in SAH patients. The intention is to provide valuable insights for establishing a non-invasive,continuous,and bedside multimodal monitoring protocol targeting secondary brain injury in SAH patients, thus offering a reference for improving patient prognoses.
