Abstract:Objective To investigate the correlation between beta-blockers(BB)use and the rupture risk of intracranial aneurysms. Methods The clinical data of 354 patients with intracranial aneurysms admitted between January 2020 and March 2024 were retrospectively analyzed.Logistic regression was employed to identify factors associated with aneurysm rupture, and a nomogram model was constructed and validated. Results Among 354 cases,163 had ruptured aneurysms and 191 had unruptured aneurysms.Multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed that Fisher grade≥1(OR=46.757;95%CI 18.337~119.227;P<0.001)and posterior circulation aneurysms(OR=18.054;95%CI 3.532~18.366;P<0.001)were independent risk factors for aneurysm rupture, while BB use was a protective factor(OR=0.123;95%CI 0.019~0.780;P=0.026).A nomogram model integrating Fisher grade,BB use,and posterior circulation aneurysms was developed. The calibration curve indicated no significant difference between predicted and actual rupture probabilities(P=0.715).The ROC curve demonstrated an area under the curve of 0.899(95%CI 0.869~0.930)for predicting rupture risk. Conclusion BB use may reduce the rupture risk of intracranial aneurysms. The nomogram model based on BB use, posterior circulation aneurysms, and Fisher grade exhibits high predictive value for assessing aneurysm rupture risk.
