Expression profile and biological role of lncRNA LINC01116 in meningiomas

Abstract：Objective To investigate the expression and biological function of lncRNA LINC01116 in meningiomas.Methods The expression level of lncRNA LINC01116 was detected by RT-qPCR in 115 meningioma tissues surgically resected from July 2014 to October 2019 were collected,and in 23 non-tumor brain tissues resected due to traumatic brain injury from January 2018 to October 2019 were collected as the control group.Human malignant meningioma IOMM-Lee cells were cultured in vitro,and the expression of lncRNA LINC01116 was silenced.The cell proliferation,migration and invasion abilities were detected by CCK-8 assay and Trans-well assay.Results Compared with non-tumor brain tissues,the expression level of lncRNA LINC01116 in meningioma tissues was significantly increased(P<0.05),and the expression level of lncRNA LINC01116 in meningioma tissues was correlated with WHO grade,Ki-67 index and tumor recurrence of meningiomas(P<0.05).Silencing the expression of lncRNA LINC01116 in malignant meningioma IOMM-Lee cells significantly inhibited cell proliferation,migration and invasion abilities(P<0.05).Conclusion lncRNA LINC01116 is highly expressed in human meningioma tissues and plays a pro-tumor role.
