Perioperative nursing care for children with sacral cysts

Abstract:Objective To summarize the perioperative nursing experience of children with sacral cysts.Methods The clinical data of 9 children with sacral cysts who underwent surgical treatment from November 2010 to May 2023 were retrospectively analyzed,and the perioperative nursing experience was summarized.Results All 9 children were young,with poor understanding,cooperation ability and compliance.Before the operation,psychological counseling,close cooperation with parents,prone position and training for defecation and urination in bed were carried out.After the operation,position management,surgical incision observation,cerebrospinal fluid leakage care,defecation and urination and diet care were implemented.After active treatment and meticulous care,all 9 children were successfully cured and discharged.Conclusion The incidence of sacral cysts in children is low,and the perioperative nursing is difficult.Attention should be paid to psychological,surgical incision,diet,defecation and urination care.A strict prone position should be maintained after the operation to prevent incision infection and cerebrospinal fluid leakage.
