Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical features, treatment and prognosis of primary diffuse large B-cell lymphomas of the skull(DLBCL).Methods The clinical data of 3 cases of primary DLBCL of the skull treated in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed, and the relevant literatures were reviewed. Results Two patients underwent tumor resection, one of whom received chemotherapy after the operation, and the other one did not receive radiotherapy or chemotherapy. One patient underwent chemoradiotherapy after biopsy. All postoperative pathologies were DLBCL.Three patients were followed up for 1~5 years after the surgery. One patient received postoperative chemotherapy and was disease-free for 5 years, one patient received radiotherapy and chemotherapy after the biopsy and had no tumor recurrence for 2 years, and one patient only received surgery and died of tumor recurrence 16 months after the surgery. Conclusions Primary DLBCL of the skull is mainly treated by a combination of surgical resection or biopsy combined with postoperative chemoradiotherapy.Patients who receive postoperative chemoradiotherapy have a better prognosis, while those who do not receive postoperative chemoradiotherapy have a poor prognosis.
