Abstract:Traumatic brain injury(TBI)refers to functional or pathological changes in brain tissues caused by external forces on the head.Traumatic brain injury-related cognitive impairment(TBI-CI)is a characteristic manifestation of post-traumatic brain injury sequelae, and programmed cell death(PCD)processes such as apoptosis, necroptosis, pyroptosis, ferroptosis, and cuproptosis play a role in the pathological processes of TBI-CI.This review provides an overview of the research progress on the mechanisms of PCD in TBI-CI,aiming to offer insights for the prevention and treatment of clinical TBI-CI.
