The Relationship between EAAs Levels in Plasma CSF and Changes of Intracranial Pressure after Brain Injury.
Abstract:Objective To explore the relative factors that influence EAAslevel in plasma and CSF after brain injury.,Methods,Dynamic observaton of the influences of different intracranial pressure (ICP) levels on the contents of GLU and ASP in blood plasma and CSF was carried out in 30 cases with severe brain injury. Results, The EAAs levels in the plasma and CSF of,the patients with severe brain injury at early stage of the injury were significantly higher than that of the patients in control group (P<0.05). The increase of EAAs was in accordance with the elevated level of ICP of the patients with brain injury and there exists a positive relationship between them. Conclusion Continued elevation of ICP may cause excessive EAAs release in the patients with brain injury.
