Abstract:In order to study creep cracking of the roadway surrounding rock in the combined Lagrangian-discrete element method(a kind of the continuum-discontinuum methods)with creep, the breakable bolt was considered in the fictitious bolt elements, which can reflect elas-toplastic axial and shear deformations. The bolt shear fracturing model was validated through simulating shear test of rock with a bolt. The creep shear cracking model was validated through simulating uniaxial compression test of the sandy mudstone specimen in the rail lane of Zhuxianzhuang Ⅱ5.The numerical curve and the test curve exhibit a good agreement,indica-ting that the present method is applicable to simulate the accelerated creep.Taking the rail lane of Zhuxianzhuang Ⅱ5 as the background and based on the creep shear cracking model, the cracking processes of the roadway surrounding rock with supports(the elastoplastic bolt and the breakable bolt, respectively)and without were compared. The results show that the de-formation of the roadway surrounding rock is larger for the breakable bolt support than for the elastoplastic bolt support, which is consistent with engineering practice. The introduction of the breakable bolt can effectively avoid overestimating the supporting effect, thereby impro-ving the safety of engineering design.
