Abstract:The drilling of the roof anchorage borehole in coal roadway is the key procedure of rockbolt anchorage. The interfaces of roof rock strata and the formation of weak interbeds have great influence on the anchorage quality.Based on the energy conservation law,the energy of the drilling process was analyzed.Real-time and dynamic roadway roof rock formation was detected by using sensors monitoring the energy index of rockbolter. The results show that under certain dynamic condition, the energy curve changes obviously and the energy response is strong when the drill bits drill through the interfaces of rock strata and the weak interbeds;when using the drilling speed and rotary velocity to analyze the work of axial force and rotary torque,a good response relationship can be found among drilling speed, rotary velocity and work of drill bits cutting rock.More than 95% of the energy of the drill bits cutting rocks comes from the work of the torque, while the work of axial thrust force is relatively small and less than 5 % of the total energy output of the drilling system. The change of total energy curve is basically consistent with the work change of rotary torque.
