Abstract:The trace gas produced in the oxidation of non-spontaneous combustion coal samples in a ventilation experiment will loss with ventilation and then it cannot be tested by instrument, and the reason of the trace gas cannot be tested was analyzed.A set of closed oxygen consumption experimental device as well as automatic monitoring and data collecting system were established.Closed oxygen experiments at room temperature were done to non-spontaneous combustion anthracite (8 # coal seam,Shanxi Changping coal mine) and easily spontaneous combustion long flame coal (4 # coal seam,Liaoning Jiudaoling coal mine).Experiments show that non-spontaneous combustion anthracite can also absorb oxygen at the temperature of 24-25 ℃,and produce carbon monoxide gas regularly, which proves that the test precision of the experimental method is high.In a closed experimental tank, the oxygen concentrations decay of easily spontaneous combustion coal samples follows negative exponential law,and carbon monoxide increase exponentially.By calculation, the oxygen consumption rate constants of the two coal samples are 8.852 μmol/(m3 · s) and 938.3 μmol/(m3 · s) respectively, and the difference between the two oxygen consumption rates is about 106 times.
