Optimization of crushing station and drift shift steps for highwall roadway transportation system
Abstract:Models for decreased inner dumping space versus increased external dumping were proposed. Delay at the crusher influences inner dumping and extra expense affects external dumping. The total cost of the transportation system, including its entire service life, should be considered. The total costs to shift dumping are described using the dynamic discount method. The dynamic total cost decreases at first but then increases as the crushing station location shifts and the end-wall drifts away. The Anjialing coal mine is used as an example. Here the crushing station distance for the number 4 coal seam is 120 m. The short drift distance of the numbers 4 and 9 coal seams are 240 m and 180 m respectively.
