Classification of the hydrogeological type of coal mine by Fisher discriminant analysis, a case study of Kailuan mining area
Abstract:The hydrogeological types of 11 production coal mines in Kailuan mining area were classified. According to the new standard requirements of mining accident prevention and cure water disaster, the hydrogeological types were determined by the six assessment indexes and linear discriminant functions of Fisher discriminant analysis. The results show that there were only one extremely complex hydrogeological type, five complex hydrogeological types and five medium hydrogeological types consistent with the practical classification. The correctness of cross-validation result is 72.7~ of all, but it is 100~ when the extremely complex hydrogeo- logical mine was excluded. When the Fisher discriminant analysis was applied, the correctness of cross-validation result is 100% of all representative samples, which shows that the hydro- geological type of mine can scientifically be judged by this method.
