Research on overburden strata control using a super high water content material during open back fill mining
Abstract：Materials containing large amounts of water have been used for back filling mined areas.Open back fill mining has been conducted at the Tao-one coal mine in China.The effects of using ＂super high water content＂ material in the back fill have been evaluated in this mine.The results show that the permeation of the material is related to the number of existing cracks and their degree of mobility.The fill can be nearly 90% using this technology and the overburden of the mined out area is effectively controlled.The surface above the area did not show significant changes,the gob and most of the conduction gap,and part of the space in the roof and floor strata,were densely filled by the super high water content material.The gas content of the face was also clearly reduced.
