Type curves for production prediction of coalbed methane wells
Abstract：The type curves were used as a simple and effective method to predict the production of coalbed methane well.Based on analyzing the effects of Langmuir pressure,Langmuir volume and permeability on the shape of type curve,the equations between the dimensionless gas-rate and time in different Langmuir pressure conditions were established,and the prediction method for production of coalbed methane well was developed.The predicting and evaluating results for two wells in Hancheng and South Qinshui region show that the coincidence rate between predicted rate and actual rate is more than 80%,which demonstrates the type curves method is applicable for field practice.The controlled reserves are 2.40×107 m3 and 2.29×107 m3 respectively,and the recoveries in the 10th year are 44.3% and 46.3%,respectively.
