Thickness determination of the reservation rigid gap and flexible layer of the deep mine roadway in soft strata and its application
Abstract:Abstract: The deformation and failure characteristics of rock surrounding a deep-mine roadway constructed in soft strata were used to propose that the radial displacement of the rock plastic zone, without subsequent failure, around the shaft control the thickness of the reservation rigid gap and flexible layer. A mechanical analysis of the dividing roadway was performed and the radial displacement of the visco-elastic zone was calculated. A Bonaitin-Thomson model was used to predict the stability of the plastic zone and the main influencing"factors on the reserva- tion rigid gap and flexible layer were discussed. It appears that the rock displacement around the roadway increases over time, tending to a final stable value. The reservation rigid gap and flexible layer increases with the radius of the roadway and the initial stress in the rock. It de- creases slightly as the initial strength of the support increases. The thickness of the reservation rigid gap and flexible layer of the Qujiang mine transport roadway is 37 cm. This allows the de- formation energy of the surrounding rock to be fully released without damaging the supporting, surrounding rock. The deformation in the surrounding rock is small after addition of secondary support.
