Research on Forming Rule of Lubricant Film and Friction-Wearing of Graphite Composite Materials

Abstract：For studying the forming rule of lubricant film and friction-wear property of the graphite materials,the friction and wear tests were carried out for graphite/antimony composites,graphite/resin composites and artifical graphite using a MMW-1 vertical universal wear test machine.The results show that the graphite/antimony composites presented lubricant state with quick forming and fast stability abundant film.The friction coefficient was about 0.08.The graphite/resin composites presented lubricant state with abundant film,poor film and little film respectively because of the different hardness of various samples.The friction coefficient was 0.07-0.1.The artifical graphite presented having no film lubricant state and the friction coefficient was about 0.25.The wearing resistance of abundant film,poor film and having no film was the best,unstable and worst,respectively.
