Abstract:In order to resolve the problem of low classification efficiency of current inclined plate, on the basis of analyzing the classification theory of inclined plate, an experimental mod-el with the inclined plate and relative system were developed for studying the sedimentation and classification of coal slime. The effects of size distribution, concentration and flow rate of feed on classification efficiency were studied. The length and width of the plate and its spacing were optimized. The results show that the optimum plate length of 899.20 mm, width of 319.65 mm and plate spacing of 40.77 mm were achieved. The classification efficiency increased with the increasing of content of coarse particle in feed. The critical feed concentration is 103.33 g/L and the appropriate feed flow rate is about 57.34 L/min.
