Experimental Study on Cohesive Force Property of Flame from Gas Explosion
Abstract:By measuring the temperature at different positions in the reaction zone and using high-speed photography, the property of propagating flames in gas explosion was investigated. The results show that the distribution of propagating flames generated by gas explosion was non-uniform in the cross section of the experimental pipe, used to simulate mine roadways, and the main luminosity in the reaction zone propagates along the bottom of the pipe. This luminosity has great cohesive force at low temperature and is easy to break up at high temperature. The distribution of intermediate products in the explosion reaction zone is also non-uniform. The intermediate product in the middle and upper part of the pipe is gas with less luminance, which gives off more heat. And at the bottom of the pipe is plasma with high luminance, which gives off comparatively low heat. When explosion temperature reaches the maximum, the cohesive force of the plasma drops sharply, so that it breaks up and the distribution of the explosion product becomes uniform in the pipe cross section.
