Sedimentary Filling and Source-Reservoir-Seal Combination at Wangfu Depression

Abstract：Through the core observation and log analysis, the sedimentary environments and filling sequenceof Wangfu depression were studied synthetically. The result shows that the Wangfu depression undergonetwo filling stages of rift and depression in mesozoic era. Two filling sequences, mainly the fluvial fan, fandelta and lake sedimentary assemblage were developed in the rift stage. Three filling sequences of the fluvialand lake deposits, were developed. A well developed source-reservoir-seal combination was found in Wangfudepression. Semi-deep lake and deep lake facies dark mudstone is abundant in Qingshankou formation andNenjiang formation, which is the main hydrocarbon source rock, and the reservoir rocks are dominated bychannel fancies sandstone bodies of Quantou formation and fan delta sandstone bodies of Yingcheng forma-tion. The development and distribution of source rock and reservoir are controlled by sedimentary environ-ments and filling sequence.
