Abstract：Ankle sprain without fracture or dislocation, accompanied by repeated ankle swelling is called as Anterolateral Ankle Im-pingement Syndrome. It is a major reason of chronic ankle pain and received extensive attention. This paper summarized its pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnosis and treatment.
