Abstract:Sepsis is a systemic inflammatory response caused by infection, often accompanied by severe metabolic disorders and insulin resistance(IR).In recent years, the triglyceride-glucose(TyG)index has been identified as a reliable alternative indicator for assessing IR,and increasing research evidence suggests that it is closely related to the development and prognosis of sepsis, and is a potential indicator for predicting sepsis. This article aims to review the application of TyG index in sepsis research, explore its potential clinical value, and provide new perspectives and ideas for prognosis evaluation of sepsis.
