Abstract：Cellular pyroptosis is a programmed cell death mode and is associated with inflammation and various diseases.Hydrogen sulfide(H2S),as a third gas signaling molecule,has various physiological and pathological effects.The bidirectional role of H2S in cell pyroptosis is closely related to its precise molecular mechanism,involving NLRP3 inflammasome,caspase-1 activity and gasdermin D(GSDMD)cleavage.The protective effects of H2S include antioxidant,anti-inflammatory,and signaling pathway mediated effects.This article reviews the role and research progress of H2S in cell pyroptosis.
