Abstract:Objective To summarize and analyze the research status, hotspots and future development trends of global heat stroke(HS)in recent ten years. Methods The Web of Science Core Collection was selected, and the time span was set from January 1,2015 to December 31,2024.A total of 1 276 HS-related articles were retrieved, and 1 000 relevant articles were exported after strict screening according to the inclusion criteria.VOSviewer and Citespace software were used to analyze the number of publications, countries, institutions, authors, journal distribution,co-occurrence,clustering and burst analysis of keywords, and a visual map was drawn. Results ①After analysis and screening,1 000 papers were included. The total number of publications showed an upward trend and had great potential for future research. The top three countries in terms of publications were China(36.1%),America(31.4%)and Japan(16.2%).Southern Medical University was the institution with the most publications.Professor Su Lei was the author with the most publications in this field, and the journal with the most publications was Journal of Athletic Training.②The co-occurrence analysis of keywords found that the three most frequently occurring keywords were heat stroke, exertional heat stroke and stress.③Clustering analysis of keywords found that the research on HS was focused on three aspects:epidemiology, pathophysiology and treatment methods.④The burst map analysis found that the latest research direction of HS in the past two years was biomarkers and cell death. Conclusions In the past decade, research in the field of HS has been highly active, with hotspots and development trends focusing on the accurate early identification of HS and in-depth studies of its pathophysiological mechanisms. In the future, there is still significant potential for growth in HS research. It is essential to promote the inter-institutional and international exchanges and learning, and further to explore the pathogenesis of HS and specific biomarkers for its identification.
