Abstract:For the patients with cardiac arrest(CA)who remain comatose after successful resuscitation, prognostic assessment of neurological function is a major challenge to clinical practice.Evaluation tools, including electrophysiological examinations(such as electroencephalography and somatosensory evoked potentials),neuroimaging and the development of chemical biomarkers, may aid in assessing the extent of brain injury in these patients. This review summarizes recent progress in the evaluation methods for neurological outcomes after CA,compares the advantages and disadvantages of various approaches, and incorporates the latest research to propose directions for optimization. These insights aim to facilitate the rational selection of applications under current clinical conditions and improve the overall level of diagnosis and treatment.
