Abstract:Obesity is a major healthcare issue of the modern era,its prevalence has been steadily increasing worldwide.There are currently no guidelines for extracorporeal membrane oxygenation(ECMO)in morbidly obese patients who can face many challenges in catherization,drainage and maintance.This article reviews the current application status,feasibility and safety of ECMO in obese patients in order to provide the references for improving the application of ECMO in obese patients.
