Abstract：Acupuncture therapy is effective not only in treating chronic diseases but also in rescuing critical illness.It is one of the prominent therapeutic approaches in emergency medicine in China.Acupuncture for emergency treatment involves minimal acupoint selection,simple operation,and rapid efficacy.It can help patients seize the golden opportunity for medical intervention,prolong survival time,reduce damage to vital organs,and significantly improve the recovery rate of rescue efforts.Therefore,promoting and utilizing acupuncture as an emergency treatment method is essential in emergency work.This article aims to provide new insights into the future development of acupuncture emergency treatment by summarizing its historical evolution and research progress.
