Abstract：In this paper we review the literatures on the research and clinical application of manual hyperinflation and suctioning (MHS) technical over the recent years,constituting a systematic review on the operation procedure and mechanism of MHS,raising the indications and contraindications of MHS and summarizing the research of MHS in mechanical ventilation and the application progress in clinical practice.
