Treatment strategy of sepsis complicated with acute respiratory distress syndrome

Abstract：Sepsis has a high incidence and mortality, according to statistics. Every day about 15000 patients died of the disease and its complicationsaround the world. The lungs are one of the most vulnerable organs, and data show that more than 40% of sepsis patients with acute lung injury/acute respiratory distress syndrome ( ALI/ARDS ) , the mortality rate of up to 30% ~40%. Once combined with ALI/ARDS, sepsis can aggravate the evolution of the disease, and increase the risk of multiple organ failure and death. Therefore, it is particularly important to explore the mechanism of sepsis ARDS and to actively seek its treatment strategy. The treatment mainly includes anti - inflammatory, anticoagulant, vasoactive drugs, liquid management, stem cell therapy, respiratory support, in vitro membrane lung and other strategies. In this paper, the recent treatment of sepsis complicated with ARDS related strategies to further clarify the pathogenesis of sepsis ARDS and pathophysiology, to find new therapeutic targets and direction.
