A therapeutic effect analysis of cyclop hosphami and hemopur deficiation in treating acute paraquat piosoning

Abstract：Objective To study the effect of cyclophosphamide and hemopurification for acute paraquat(PQ) poisoning.Methods Retrospective analysis of 225 patients of acute PQ poisoning in e-mergency center of Xijing Hospital from January 2008 to September 2015 .The patients who took conven-tional treatment were divided into two groups according to the usage of cyclophosphamide :Group A:the methylprednisolone group;Group B:the methylprednisolone and cyclophosphamide group .Patients who were treated with blood purification were divided into two groups according to the usage of continuous venovenous hemofiltration(CVVH): Group C: the hemoperfusion(HP) group; Group D: the HP and CVVH group.The basic data, the incidence of ARDS, pulmonary fibrosis and MODS, the survival time of the deaths and the mortality were compared between groups .Results After being divided into groups according to different treatments , the general information in each group was comparable .There were no statistically significant differences between Group A and Group B in the incidence of ARDS , pulmonary fibrosis and MODS, the survival time of the deaths and the mortality (P>0.05). There were no statisti-cally significant differences between Group C and Group D in the incidence of ARDS , pulmonary fibrosis and MODS (P>0.05).The survival time of the deaths was longer and the mortality was lower in Group D, and there were statistically significant differences (P<0.05).Conclusion There is no therapeutic advantage in using methylprednisolone combined with cyclophosphamide compared with the methylpred -nisolone alone in conventional treatment for patients of PQ poisoning .HP combined with CVVH could ex-tend the survival time of the deaths and reduce the mortality compared with the HP alone in blood purifi -cation.
