Abstract:Sepsis-associated encephalopathy ( SAE) is a common complication of sepsis which increases mortality and induces long term cognitive impairment. A better understanding of the underlying pathogenesis and early diagnosis and monitoring of SAE will be able to decrease the mortality and improve the quality of life of patients.
