The clinical effect of acupuncture points at Zusanli and Hegu on adjuvant treatment in septic patients

Abstract:Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture point at Zusanli and Hegu in adjuvant treatment of sepsis. Methods Seventy cases of septic patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, each group had 35 cases. Two groups of patients were given conventional anti-sepsis treatment, the treatment group was treated by electroacupuncture on acupoint Zusanli and Hegu, 20 minutes each time, twice a day.Changes in patients with clinical signs and monitoring indexes were observed before and after treatment.Results ①72 h later, 24 cases in the treatment group had good effectives, 7 cases were effective, 4 cases invalid, the total effective rate was 88.57%,while in control group 18 cases had good effectives, 7 cases were effective, 10 cases invalid, the total efficiency was 71.42%, the two group total efficiency comparisons have statistics significance (P<0.05).②After 72 h treatment, the APACHEⅡscore, lactic acid, oxygenation index and SCr were improved significantly in both groups, the improvement of treatment group was more significant ( P<0.05).Conclusion The therapeutic effect of acupuncture at Zusanli and Hegu in sepsis is precisely.
