The effect of continuous blood purification on the drug clearance in critically ill patients

Abstract：This paper reviews the factors that affect the drug clearance, such as the pharmacolo-gy of the drug itself, filtration membrane material, size, pore size, dialysate/ultrafiltrate flow rate, filter usage time, hemofiltration mode, filtration principles and others when a patient is receiving continuous blood purification.This review summarizes the progress of drug clearance affected by continuous blood purification.It also provides a reference for clinicians to adjust the treatment plan and implement indi-vidualized treatment, as well as providing a pioneering idea for further study about drug clearance.
