Abstract:Objective To explore the assessment capability of the improved evaluation system for the critically ill obstetric patients .Methods 138 obstetric patients who were divided into the survival group and the death group by consequences Jan .2011 to Dec.2014 in our hospital was chosen , compared the assessment capability of the improved evaluation system and APACHE Ⅱ system for the critically ill obstetric patients, sensitivity, specificity, index and efficiency of the diagnosis from time to time.To explore the relationships between the score of the improved evaluation system and the prognosis of the obstetric patients .Results The difference of the scores of the improved evaluation system and APACHEⅡsystem was statistically significant for the survival group and the death group .The difference of the survival rate , incidence rate of MODS and the numbers of organ failure≤10 points group ,11~20 points group、21 ~30 points group and ≥31 points group among the three groups was statistically significant,P<0.05.The difference of the case fatality rate of the improved evaluation system and APACHEⅡsystem was statistically significant by Z -test (Z =3.091,P <0.05),the assessment capability of the improved evaluation system for the critically ill obstetric patients was better than the APACHEⅡsystem. The difference of the sensitivity , specificity, index and efficiency of the diagnosis was statistically significant when the score of the improved evaluation system was more than 25 points for other times. The difference of the sensitivity, specificity, index and efficiency of the diagnosis was statistically significant when the score of the APACHEⅡsystem was more than 28 points for other times . Conclusion T he assessment capability , the sensitivity, specificity, index and efficiency of the diagnosis of the improved evaluation system for the critically ill obstetric patients are better , worthy to recommand its clinical use .
