Evaluation methods and clinical applicability of kidney injury in patients with thrombotic microangiopathy

Abstract:Thrombotic microangiopathy ( TMA ) is a group of diseases with similar clinical features of thrombocytopenia, hemolytic anemia and thrombus formation in microcirculation.Kidney is one of the most easily affected organs and acute kidney injury ( AKI ) is the common clinical manifestations.Importance should be attached to the early diagnosis, prevention, reverse of the progression .As a result, having a clear grasp of the value of these clinical examinations in the diagnosis, prognosis and clinical management in patients with AKI diagnosed with TMA is of most importance.This review will summarize the physiological biomarkers,imaging examination and biological biomarkers in patients with AKI diagnosed with TMA and their clinical applicability.
