Effect of Salvia Tetramethylpyrazine injection on circulation inflammatory cytokines and vascular endothelial function in patients with acute myocardial infarction
Abstract:Objective To investigate the changes of inflammatory cytokines and vascular endothelial function related factors in patients with acute myocardial infarction ( AMI ) and the therapeutic effects of Salvia Tetramethylpyrazine injection. Methods One hundred AMI patients were selected and randomly divided into routine group and Salvia Tetramethylpyrazine group.Thirty healthy people served as control group. The levels of high sensitivity C-reactive protein ( hs-CRP ) , white blood cell count (WBC), interleukin-6 (IL-6), and nitrogen monoxide (NO) and endothelin-1 ( ET-1) were measured respectively before and after treatment. Results All AMI patients showed that the serum concentrations of hs-CRP, IL-6, WBC and ET-1 were apparently higher than those in healthy subjects (P<0.01), and the NO level in AMI patients was lower than that in healthy subjects (P<0.01).The levels of hs-CRP, IL-6, WBC and ET-1 decreased significantly after two week treatment (P<0.01).The decreased level of these parameters in the Salvia Tetramethylpyrazine group were greater than routine group (P<0.05).The level of NO in the Salvia Tetramethylpyrazine group was increased more significantly than that of routine group ( P <0.05 ) .Conclusion The changes concentrations of hs-CRP, IL-6, WBC, ET-1 and NO can be used as sensitive indexes for dynamic prognosis AMI.Salvia Tetramethylpyrazine injection may decrease the level of hs-CRP, WBC, IL-6 and elevate the level of NO.The results suggest that Salvia Tetramethylpyrazine injection may have an anti-inflammatory role and improve vascular endothelial function in treatment AMI patients.
