The Correlation Study Between CETP-TaqIB Gene Polymorphism and Coronary Heart Disease
Abstract：Objective To explore the correlation between CETP-TaqIB gene polymorphism and coronary heart disease ( CHD) .Methods Four hundred coronary arteriongraphy cases in Tianjin Chest Hospital from July, 2012 to March, 2012 were included in this study.If coronary artery diamete stenosis≥50%, we diagnosised coronary heart clisease.Fasting venous blood was collected to test gene CETP-TaqIB, and the corrention between CETP -TaqIB and coronary heart disease was analyzed. Results There was no significant difference on genotype frequencies, alleles frequency distribution between CHD and normal group ( P >0.05 ) .High -density lipoprotein cholesterol, low density lipoprotein cholesterol were associated with CHD; total cholesterol, triglycerides, TaqIB were not associated with CHD.The CETP gene TaqIB polymorphism had no correlation with the severity of coronary heart disease ( P >0.05 ) . Conclusion There was correlation between CETP TaqIB genetyping and CHD patients'high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, low density lipoprotein cholesterol (P<0.05), while had no significant correlation with coronary heart disease incidence and coronary artery triple vessel lesion.Maybe, gene TaqIB is not an independent risk factor for coronary heart disease.
