Research advances in biological function of STAT3 and the relationship between STAT3 and sepsis

Abstract：STAT3 signaling pathway plays an important role in multiple cellular functions such as cell proliferation , differentiation , apoptosis and angiogenesis , therefore its mechanism in developing tumor has been widely studied .In recent years, however, we found that STAT3 plays a role in the regulation of inflammatory reaction , which greatly improved the investigations of the pathogenesis of sepsis.In this review, the progresses of STAT3 in the pathogenesis of sepsis in recent year are reviewed , in order to help human to find new ideas and strategies for the prevention and control of sepsis .
