Research on the relationship between leptin and the pulmonary function in acute exacerabation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Abstract:Objective To explore the relationship between leptin and the pulmonary function in acute exacerabation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease ( AECOPD ) .Methods Thirty -five AECOPD patients ( AECOPD group ) , 38 COPD patients in statinary phase ( Statinary group ) and 30 healthy aged people control group were selected in this study .The serum leptin, tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) and C-reactive protein (CRP) were detected.Pulmonary function test was taken. The correlation between the serum leptin level and TNF -α, CRP, lung function index were analyzed . Results ①The serum leptin , CRP and TNF-αin AECOPD group were higher significantly than those in Statinary group and Control group .The pulmonary function index -FEVl, MVV and DLCO were lower significantly than those in Statinary group and Control group .②The serum leptin level in patients with COPD had positive correlation with CRP , TNF-α, and had negative correlation with pulmonary function index-FEVl, MVV and DLCO.Conclusion Leptin is a predictor of COPD, and may be useful for assessing risk of impaired lung function .
