Effects of YVAD-FMK on complete cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats
Abstract：Objective The effects of YVAD-FMK on neuron damage after completecerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats were studied.Methods Using a rat model with four-vessel occlusion,the effects of YVAD-FMK on the changes of level of IL-1β and the content of water in brain tissues and the count of neruons in hippocampal CA1 were dynamically observed.Results YVAD-FMK could reduce the level of IL-1β and decrease brain edema and the declining degree of the neuronal count in hippocampal CA1.Conclusion YVAD-FMK has a good protective effects on cerebral neuronal damage induced by complete cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats.
