Hemorrhage enhance the systemic injury of endotoxemia
Abstract:Objective In order to explore the principle of hemorr hagic shock enhancing endotoxemia. Methods New Zealand rabbits were bled from carotid and the blood pressure fell to 6.13±0.267 mmHg from 15.57±1.73 mmHg,after one hour the blood were re-infused into animals together with same volume of salt water .At 8 hours of experience the animals were given endotoxin E.Coli O111B4 by 0.2 mg/kg through mesenteric veins. The contrast anima ls were given endotoxin only or bleeding only. Results After hemorr hage the endotoxin levels in the animals plasma lifted without significant but risen rapidly when the endotoxin E.Coli were given. And the high levels of endotoxin in plasma maintained for more than two hours and than dropped significantly after 6 hours together with TNF in the animals with hemorrhage added to endotoxin injunction, but the levels of IL-8 remained high, the Bp of the animals depressed longer than 6 hours. Conclusion If the host has endotoxemia after hemorrhagic shock,TNF and IL-8 might be overproduced.
