Experimental study of Anisodamine against hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury
Abstract:Objective To study the effect of Anisodamine on hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury and its possible mechanism in rats. Methods The bile flow, levels of malondiadehyde(MDA) in the hepatic tissues were measured in hepatic isch emia-reperfusion injury in rats with or without administration of Anisodamine. The histological changes in hepatic tissues and the degree of neutrophil infiltra tion were also measured. Results As the liver reperfusion prolonged, the neutro phil infiltration degree was increasing. After administration of Anisodamine int ravenously, the liver tissue MDA and the degree of neutrophil infiltration were significantly lower than those of untreated groups(P<0.01).But the bile flow was significantly higher than that of untreated groups(P<0.01).C onclusions The hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury can be significantly protected with Anisod amine. The protective mechanism may be that Anisodamine inhibits the production of oxygen-derived free redicals.
