Abstract:Scoliosis is a common orthopedic disease in children and adolescents, which can cause three-dimensional deformity of the spine. Full-time brace has been proved to be an effective early intervention, which can avoid the risk of surgery to a certain extent. However, long-term wearing may affect the quality of life of patients, leading to negative emotions, which in turn affects the compliance and correction effect of brace treatment. In contrast, night-time brace has more advantages in improving patient compliance, but it is not clear whether night-time brace is as effective as full-time brace. The purpose of this paper is to comprehensively review the compliance of brace treatment, the research status of night-time brace and the best time to remove brace, explore the efficacy of night-time brace treatment in delaying the progression of scoliosis, and to gradually improve the brace management strategy and clinical decision-making of scoliosis.
