Abstract：Lateral hinge fracture (LHF) is the most common complication of medial opening wedge high tibial osteotomy (MOWHTO) and is closely related to postoperative clinical outcomes. This study comprehensively reviews the lateral hinge anatomy, classification, hazards, epidemiology, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of LHF, which helps clinicians understand LHF more comprehensively and provide research basis for clinical practice and subsequent related studies.
