Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of fluoroscopy from different angles on the measurement of tip apex distance(TAD)during intramedullary nail fixation for femoral intertrochanteric fractures. Methods A model of intramedullary nail in the femoral bone with a distance of 10 mm between the pins and the apex was constructed, and the apex of the femoral head was determined by CT combined with 3D printing technology.X-ray photography was taken. The TAD values were measured at 5°,10°,15°,30°,45° and standard anteroposterior rotation at 5°,10°,15°,30°,45°,respectively.Changes of TAD measurements under different angles of perspective were evaluated. Results With the change of perspective angle, the TAD value also increased with the increase of angle, and there was no significant difference between the measured value and the standard lateral measurement value within the rotation angle of 0°-30°(P>0.05).The differences were statistically significant when the rotation angle>45°(P<0.05).Conclusions When the limb is in a non-standard anterolateral position, the measured TAD value is related to the size of the rotation angle. The measured TAD value has no obvious statistical effect within a certain range,so as to provide a reference for the measurement during surgery.
