Abstract:Objective To analyze the epidemiological trend and changes of disease burden of malignant tumors of bone and articular cartilage(MNBAC)in China from 1990 to 2021,and provide evidence for the development of MNBAC prevention and control strategies. Methods Based on the Global Burden of Disease(GBD)2021 database, the number of cases, number of deaths,Disability-adjusted Life Years(DALYs)and Years Lived with Disability(YLDs)of MNBAC in China were analyzed.Age-standardized rate was used to estimate the burden of MNBAC.Stratified analyses by sex,age and time were conducted. Results From 1990 to 2021,the burden of disease in MNBAC in China was heavy, and the age-standardized incidence rate and prevalence rate showed an increasing trend. The mortality rate,DALYs rate,YLDs rate and YLLs rate all increased. The incidence and mortality rates of males were higher than those of females in all age groups, and the burden in people aged 15-19 years and over 70 years increased significantly, showing a bimodal distribution. Conclusions The burden of MNBAC in China increases significantly from 1990 to 2021,and there are significant gender and age differences. It is suggested that more attention should be paid to the elderly and male high-risk groups.Environmental governance, health education and early screening should be strengthened.
