Abstract:Objective To analyze the clinical characteristics and prognostic factors of pelvic conventional chondrosarcoma(CS).Methods Eighty-five patients with pelvic CS were included in this retrospective study. The gender, age, tumor site,Enneking stage, soft tissue mass, margin, initial tumor grade, local recurrence(LR)and lung metastasis after treatment were evaluated.Kaplan-Meier method was used to calculate the overall survival rate.X2 test and log-rank test were used for univariable analysis, and Cox test was used in multivariate analysis. Results The mean follow-up time was(60.0±34.8)months.The 5-year disease-free survival rate and overall survival rate were 65.1%and 74.1%respectively.In univariate analysis, age, tumor location,Enneking stage, tumor classificaiton(primary/secondary),initial pathological grade, local recurrence and lung metastasis after treatment were significant factors affecting the prognosis. In multivariate analysis,Enneking stage(HR=6.342,95%CI:1.446-27.435),initial pathological grade(HR=2.906,95%CI:1.113-7.590)and pulmonary metastasis after treatment(HR=8.756,95%CI:2.304-33.285)were independent risk factors affecting the prognosis. Conclusions For patients with pevic chondrosarcoma,Enneking stage, initial pathological grade and lung metastasis after treatment are independent risk factors for prognosis.Comprehensive treatment should be taken to improve the survival rate of patients with lung metastasis and pathological grade Ⅲ.
